The Old Town of Limassol is filled with charm, warmth and culture. Take a walk at sunset or sunrise to experience it’s true magic. In the heat of the day with all the people crowding you seem to miss the magic of the place that’s why it’s best to come at a time where you can have a little more room to yourself.
Trendy restaurants are now opening left right and center and since the Marina is opening the old town has had a massive regeneration take place. I can’t wait to go see my hometown in it’s best this year ~ Perhaps I should lay low on the Limassol posts for a while till I’ve passed my exams and gone there which will be soon enough!

Rainy Day Women are a new up and coming band in Australia. A friend did the work on their new video ‘Aimee’. I think it’s pretty neat so have a watch and a listen. The song is a little more depressing than what I’m used to hearing but when listening closer you have to appreciate the raw sort of feel the band have.

This place is really enchanting, yes originally I went to see the gorge formation but the whole walk up to it is just as brilliant. The fauna and stone shapes seem like they’re from the past and have aged beautifully over time. The trees roots were again so brilliant to look at entangled. The pathway was rugged but not unbearable.
The great thing is though, every time you look from a different angle the surroundings look completely different. Water was dripping from the roots of trees attached onto the stone like something out of Jurassic Park. I wouldn’t have been surprised if a Dinosaur peered amongst the shrubs and came after me.

Terminal 5 really feels great, like representative of the city it’s in. Walking around you feel like you’re in one of those airport based films when they have the shots of the rolling suitcases and the stylish business man in a suit and tie on the phone with his express coffee to go.
Although the airport is stunning I have to say it does everything to the best standard but doesn’t offer anything that hasn’t been in an airport before. I heard you take a tube style train from the airplane to the baggage collection but not actually having been on a flight I can’t verify that. Was a great mini exhibition about ‘My grandfather’s car’ which held my attention for a rather long period of time, some beautiful photographs accompanied by a short film.
I have come to the conclusion some black frames like the ones on display are needed to exhibit some old family pictures, so I’ll take that on as another challenge.
I still need to write that piece on arrivals and departures with some accompanying photographs, I’m sure I could pick up some really nice stories but it’s about whether I could sum up the guts to ask people when they just want to get home.
