W: Sifr Collections

https://i2.wp.com/cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0038/8292/products/SS12-Fits-133_grande.jpgRecently the Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer Clothing Lines by Sifr was brought to my attention. There are for sure some beautiful pieces of fabric here. According to their website the most recent collection available to buy online is named ‘Monsoon’ and takes inspiration from southeast asia and the colours of blue and grey present during the monsoon season. The brand is relatively recent having been incarnated only in 2008. Originating in Singapore (where I may hopefully end up in next year) and the clothes currently being produced in Indonesia, the brand offers western style clothing with distinctive asian twists. The Fabrics are sourced from across the world including Thailand, the UK, US and Japan. All this information can be found directly from their website.

So to start on the clothes, I have a particular favourite. The piece above, a ‘Rib Extended Throw’ made from 100 percent cotton. It is half robe half shall, yet looks much more elegant than your usual comfort wear. This is from the Spring collection but is still available for purchase now.

The knitwear on offer brings a slightly Gothic flavour to the collections. Mostly in black yet again there are small twists and features which come to attention when looking closer at the clothing. Perfect for casual wear and for relaxing the appearance of those more formal items in the wardrobe.

The have also recently released a new line of shoes, the detailing in the first two on the bottom row of images look really impressive and indeed smart. Some of the shoe designs look like nothing you would find on your average British High Street.

WEAR: LN-CC Sale

So I may not be able to afford any of it, yet for the more privileged of you out there. LN-CC have a pretty good sale as far as classy concept stores go. There are a few special pieces online with some decent price slashing. So go support them. After all we do coincidentally have a L, N and – in common. Plus many of the items are from Maison Martin Margiela’s line who are next to collaborate with H and M

WEAR: James Long For Topman

So my favourite designer has decided to tap in properly to the mainstream clothing market. In this collaboration with Topman, he has produced a series of signature knitwear tops all designs sure to turn heads. I like the majority of them and in fact most of them are very wearable.

I think it might be worth it to spend a little more than usual on one of these as they genuinely appear to have been thought out like James Long originals. As opposed to just attaching tags with a name on. I guess topman are trying to mimic H and M’s successful formula of Designer collaborations. They have chosen their weapon well shall we say. Not too sure about the shots which have been released and I don’t particularly think they exhibit the series well yet it gives you a general idea of what the jumpers will be like. See the images below and leave your opinion~

P.s. I think the jumpers have been made out to be a lot more fluffy in the press images a few washes and they’ll look fine!
